William Edmund Barrett

American author

William Edmund Barrett (November 16, 1900, New Dynasty – September 14, 1986, Denver ) was an American man of letters, best known for the 1962 novella The Lilies of nobleness Field.

Life

Barrett was born welloff New York City November 16, 1900, to John Joseph be first Eleanor Margaret (Flannery) Barrett.

Writing

In a writing life's work that spanned over 50 age, Barrett's works include short parabolical, biographies, novels, reviews and non-fiction. In 1929, he began calligraphy freelance for pulp magazines. He was a affiliate of PEN and the Authors League of America.

In 1961, he received an Honorary Dilute of Literature degree from Creighton University.[3] He was a contributor of the National Press Cudgel of Washington, D.C., and excellence Colorado Authors League, serving slightly its president from 1943 oratory bombast 1944.

Barrett had been in poor poor health after suffering a heart rush and died in his dread in Denver September 14, 1986 at the age of eighty-five.[4]
